Pathway: Cosmetology

The Cosmetology Pathway offers high school students a comprehensive introduction to various careers in the beauty industry, including hair design, nail technology, barbering, and esthetics. Through a blend of hands-on training and theoretical learning, students will develop essential skills in these specialized areas while gaining knowledge of industry standards and techniques. By exploring both the creative and business aspects of cosmetology, students will be prepared for certification and further post-secondary education in the field.

Elective Courses
This course introduces students to the foundational skills and theory of cosmetology, including haircutting, barbering, and styling. Students will study anatomy and physiology, product knowledge and chemistry, design theory, and professional industry standards that support safe practices and employability skills. Through hands-on practice and instruction, students will learn basic techniques in hair shaping, grooming, and creative styling to prepare them for further studies in the field.
