Further exploration of the skills used by firefighters and EMS providers. This class takes the skills gained in Skills 1 and gains further proficiency. Additional skills would include raising and lowering ladders, advancing charged hose lines, controlling fire water streams, searching for and rescuing victims and firefighters in dark or limited visibility environments, connecting a fire engine to a hydrant and moving patients off the floor and onto a gurney. Students taking this class must have the physical ability to crawl 200 feet wearing firefighter gear and then drag a similarly sized student wearing firefighting gear 100 feet as part of a team.
