English Language Development

This course is designed for students who are enrolled in ELD 1 and ELD 2. This standards based course focuses on developing reading and writing skills to meet Oregon state standards. This course focuses on basic vocabulary, literary elements, and reading short stories and level-appropriate novels. Writing assignments will focus on the writing process for expository writing as well as narrative. May take more than once for credit.
