Pathway: Visual Arts

The Visual Arts Pathway is concerned with using art as a vehicle for creative problem-solving, self-expression, and visual communication.  The Visual Arts pathway prepares students to enter into a variety of creative careers, but the knowledge and skills gained through the visual arts are listed amongst the most coveted leadership traits in any profession.  Exploratory classes are intended to introduce students to a variety of 2D and 3D techniques and are required as the beginning class for all interested students.

This is a third level course for students who are serious about developing his or her artistic voice, technical and expressive skills in drawing. Art Internship

The Visual Arts Internship offers aspiring artists a chance to develop their skills and gain real-world experience under the guidance of a seasoned professional artist from Yamhill County. Over the course of the internship, participants will receive 24 hours of dedicated mentorship, allowing for personalized instruction, hands-on projects, and in-depth discussions about artistic techniques, career paths, and the creative process. Prerequisite: Successful completion or concurrent enrollment Adv. Draw, Adv. Painting, Ceramics 3+, or AP Studio Art.
