Early Childhood Education

The Early Childhood Education Pathway offers opportunities for students to learn more about working with and nurturing children from birth through age eight. These are the most important developmental years in a person’s life. Students in this program will gain real world experiences at Bear Hugs Child Development Center, planning activities and playing a vital part in young children’s lives.

Focus: understanding/caring for children. Topics: developmental stages conception-age 5, children's physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth, hands-on children's activities, importance of play, developing trust, and interactions at Bear Hugs.
