2017-2018 CCN Course Information

McMinnville High School currently has partnerships with Chemeketa Community College, Clackamas Community College, Linn Benton Community College,  Mt. Hood Community College and Portland Community College in which students can earn both high school credit and college credit for the same courses.  When forecasting for new classes, students are encouraged to consider the dual-credit courses that are marked "CCN".  With proper planning/forecasting, MHS students have the potential to earn an Associate of Oregon Transfer Degree (OTD) through Chemeketa Community College.

Eligible students will have the opportunity to register for approved McMinnville High School college credit classes. Registration occurs internally during class time each semester within a designated timeline through the College & Career Center.  Students begin to build a college transcript which may be transferable to colleges and universities. Just because students have an approved CCN course on their schedule does not mean they are registered through the approving college. Registering to receive college credit is optional and can only be completed by the student. Students and families are encouraged to take advantage of this program even if a student is uncertain about his/her post-secondary options.

Currently, McMinnville High School students pay $30.00 per year, per student for unlimited qualifying Chemeketa Community College courses during that year.  Fees for other partnerships vary.  Answers to frequently asked questions.  For more specific course questions/requirements, contact the teacher of record at the high school.
