The P.O.W.E.R. Team at MHS is in its 10th year and is charged with creating and maintaining a positive school climate for students and staff so that all stakeholders can focus on the business of teaching and learning with the highest rates of success possible.
P.O.W.E.R. stands for Purpose, Ownership, Work Ethic, Empathy and Respect.  Essential elements of the P.O.W.E.R. team include: positive recognition of student efforts, ongoing instruction about the school rules and expectations, and providing tiered interventions, as needed, for students with at-risk behaviors.   The P.O.W.E.R. Team reviews monthly discipline and attendance data, looking for trends so that lesson plans and other interventions can be developed to support identified areas of need.

Find the POWER Team "QR code" survey posters around the school, scan it, answer a few questions about POWER at MHS and you'll be entered into the raffle drawing for 2 tickets to the Portland Trailblazers game this Friday night at the MODA center.
